Classification according to the regulation on transparency of sustainability information for financial products
Regulation 2019/2088 ("SFDR") introduces information obligations applicable to certain financial products, differentiating between the following articles:
Promotion of environmental and/or social characteristics through (i) the application of exclusions of sectors or companies that are harmful to the environment or society, (ii) positive screening for those that generate a favourable impact on the environment and society and have implemented good governance practices, and (iii) a commitment to reducing carbon emissions. These are known as Article 8 products.
Sustainable investment objective that determines the investment universe, focused on those companies or sectors that, in a quantifiable way, allow the achievement of the sustainability objective).

Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on disclosure in the area of sustainability deals with products that promote environmental and/or social features. In order to meet the requirements imposed on these products by sustainability regulations, CaixaBank has designed the “Drive" category of products and services. These products and services select investments according to a series of sustainability indicators that determine how the companies in which they invest promote environmental and/or social features. Measuring these indicators makes it possible to build up a portfolio with adequate ratings for environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects, at the same time boosting companies committed to the transition towards a more sustainable world.

Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on disclosure in the area of sustainability deals with products that have a clearly-identified aim of sustainable investment. In order to meet the requirements imposed on these products by sustainability regulations, CaixaBank has designed the "Impacta" category of products and services. These products and services select investments in companies whose business activity is aimed at solving the main social and environmental problems identified in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), as well as other sustainability-linked products. This category of products and services is the one indicating the greatest commitment and higher targets in sustainability terms.
